Friends of Cobbett Road Library will be hosting a free community fair this weekend to showcase local community groups and creative activities in our area.
Friends of Cobbett Road Library are hosting the 'Making a difference' community fair this weekend. The event is free and open to everyone, but bring some change if you want to support local groups or buy some original Christmas presents!
Many local groups have been invited to showcase their work in the community, including Friends of Bitterne Station, Bitterne Local History Society, Bitterne Park Community Choir, Bitterne Men Shed, the Improbable Club and many more.
The two-day event running on Saturday 2.30-4.30pm and Sunday from 10.30 till 12.30, will also involve a range of taster sessions, with drama games by Light-UP Drama, music making for young ones by Songplay and storytelling by Southampton Story Club.
The full programme is available here (small changes might still take place)
The event will be an opportunity for everyone to meet and support local community groups, try some new creative activities, support local initiatives, chat with your neighbours and get involved.
The organisers recommend bringing some change to support local initiatives and buy some original Christmas presents that support the local community.
