The owners said they will be opening their doors after they’ve resolved some final issues at the premises they’re currently revamping.
“Once the niggly things are resolved, we’re good to go,” Syed Rahman from the team told bitternepark.info.
“The concept is traditional Indian Bangladeshi food. We want a homely feel: families, kids, adults all welcome,” he said.
He added that they recognise the ‘village in the city’ community feel to the area, and that the business wants to become a “part of the family” and add to the community.
While the Triangle business will be a new start for them all, they have run other places in the past, with over 100 years' experience between the team.
But while Curry Lounge will be offering deliveries and takeaways as well as a revamped restaurant next door to The Butcher’s Hook pub, it will operate on a Bring Your Own Bottle basis, and won’t be serving alcohol from the premises..
Diners will however be welcome to pop next door, or elsewhere, to buy alcohol to accompany their meal, while a range of soft drinks will be on offer on the premises.
Vegan and vegetarian menu options will also be available, said Syed.
