Maintenance is planned between the traffic lights at Cobden Avenue to the junction at the bottom, with Cobbett Road.

According to a letter sent to some nearby residents by the council contractor Balfour Beatty, from January 8 to January 26 there will be a lane closure in place with travel southbound only for the duration.

From January 24-26 there will also be night works and overnight road closures of the road.

The company says daytime working hours for all phases will be 7.30 am – 5.30 pm, but restrictions will be in place for the duration of the works 24 hours a day. It says dates depend on favourable weather.

“Access to Harcourt Road will be available via Whitworth Close and Macnaughton Road, and we will work on Bullar Road in sections to try and reduce the disruption to parking in the area,” says BB.

It says that some on-street parking in the closure area will need to be suspended during the works.

Work on Bullar Road was previously listed from November 20 – December 10, but this was cancelled. It is believed that this might have been due to concurrent works and closures on Cobden Bridge and St Denys Road.

Pedestrians aren't mentioned in the letter although from an included map it appears work may be on the road only.
