Whether you’re an experienced gardener or novice grower, you’re invited to join an annual seed and plant trail around Bitterne Park in May.

The event, organised by Bitterne Park Growing Places, enables residents to share seeds and plants.
Spares are put outside people’s addresses for others to pick up. If you put your spares outside your house, you don’t need to stay home, organisers say.
You also don’t need to actively ‘swap’ - you can join the trail without having anything to share.
A trail map will be produced that shows which addresses have seeds and plants outside.
Growing Places says if you want to be on the trail map so people know to visit your street, you can send an email with your name and address to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by April 28.
Maps will be available on the day, and to download from the Bitterne Park Growing Places webpage and Facebook event.
The trail itself takes place on Sunday, May 19 from 10.00am - 1.00pm
