Sunday (May 19) sees the return of the popular seed and plant trail around Bitterne Park.

The event, organised by Bitterne Park Growing Places, enables residents to share seeds and plants.
Spares are put outside people’s addresses for others to pick up.
Those donating their spares to the community by placing them outside their home don’t need to stay in, and organisers say people don’t need to actively ‘swap’ - you can join the trail without having anything to share.
A trail map is available from the Transition Southampton website to find addresses with seeds and plants to take, and it’s also available below.
The project is set up by Transition Southampton to encourage people to grow and share food locally. It aims to help connect people to share seeds, plants, growing advice and surplus food
You can also let organisers know you’re attending by joining the Facebook event.
Official sharing times are between 10am and 1pm, although some households extend their generosity beyond this.
