Popular local festival TriFest, set to make its fifth appearance in Riverside Park in July featuring everything from bands, stalls, and a dog show, has hit its crowdfunding goal and is now aiming for a ‘stretch’ target.

The free, volunteer-run festival was left high and dry after it had to be cancelled at the last minute last year because of heavy rain and high winds.
While it had paid out all its upfront costs, it was able to generate no income in return.
The crowdfunder was called so it could pay for essentials like licences, insurance and replacement kit this year.
Organiser Paul Jenks said the fundraiser had already “gone spectacularly well”, hitting its initial target within three days.
“This means TriFest is definitely going to happen on the 27th July. We are now pushing our ‘stretch’ target of £650 which will allow us to replace some broken kit,” he said.
