George Tinsley over the garden fence cake stall 26 5 24George Tinsley said he hadn’t stopped, as people had queued at his makeshift cake stand for Over the Garden Fence in St Denys on Sunday morning (May 26). The event brings residents together, with many setting up stalls outside their houses to sell or give away goods and have a natter.

"I’m a teacher. I rush home after school each day and make a range of things. I really like cooking," said George.

"I think the event is fantastic. This is how I got to know a lot of people in the St Denys area. The first time we had one of these I didn’t know about it. And I went around and saw everybody and got to meet some of my neighbours. It’s been a really good social event.”
