The 5 for £5 group fare allows up to five people to travel all day on Bluestar, Unilink, and First Solent’s X4 & X5 services within Southampton for only £5, with no time restrictions.

According to a council statement, nearly 21,000 group tickets were sold last summer, saving families and friends around £62,000.

Funded through the Department for Transport’s Bus Service Improvement Plan Plus, this initiative aims to make bus travel in Southampton more reliable, sustainable, and affordable.

The scheme runs from July 20 to September 1.
