This year’s ‘postponed’ All Aboard river festival won’t now be going ahead, although a get-together on Janaway Green celebrating St Denys is being promoted for the end of August.

As reported, All Aboard was due to feature around 50 bands across a number of makeshift stages, as well as all kinds of other shenanigans on and around the River Itchen.
But poor weather put paid to the planned river extravaganza on June 15.
While it’s now been confirmed that All Aboard won’t be going ahead on another date this year, a ‘Janaway Jamboree’ is being organised for Saturday, August 31.
“Come and enjoy a picnic with friends and neighbours, listen to live music, let the kids get creative with crafts, and join in on some traditional games” says event promotion, with further details coming soon.
It’s set to take place from 2 – 7pm on Janaway Green, off Janaway Gardens in St Denys (SO17 2WR).
