It appears that the route across the river will effectively be closed to vehicles from Tuesday, August 27 – Friday, August 30, and then from Monday, September 2 to Wednesday, September 4.

During these dates, Woodmill Activity Centre will remain accessible from the Riverside Park side only.
The road will re-open over the weekend of the weekend of the 31/8-1/9 to all traffic and then close again on the 2/9-4/9, according to council comms, which add that pedestrian and cyclist access will be maintained when the closure is in place.
“Safety concerns require this work to be carried out immediately, before adverse weather sets in. As such, we thank you for your patience,” adds the council.
City schools are due to return on September 2, and as usual, this is likely to result in more traffic on the roads.
Meanwhile, the lane closure on St Denys Road remains in place, with no commencement date announced for works, despite it being roughly eight months since the landslip. The council has however set up a new page giving info on the problem.
