Southampton's popular free music festival Music in the City returns this weekend, offering two days of live performances in some of the city's most unusual spots.

A highlight of Southampton’s cultural calendar for many, Music in the City takes place from Saturday 28th to Sunday 29th September, and features 326 performances across 60 locations – including in Bitterne Park.
Music lovers will be able to explore an eclectic mix of genres, from blues, folk and covers to rock, pop to sea shanties and samba rock and drums.
Performances will be popping up in venues including historic city vaults, cosy cafés – even at Ikea and a Red Funnel terminal!
