Avon Road, Midanbury Lane, Osborne Road North, Portswood Road and Thorold Road are among the roads listed and likely for double-yellow lines, in some cases apparently to encourage no parking near the junctions of adjoining roads.

For example on Midanbury Lane the traffic regulation order says:

“Midanbury Lane, west side, From 10m south of the southern kerb-line of Thorold Road to 10m north of the northern kerb-line of Thorold Road; east side, From 21m south of the southern kerb-line to 16m north of the northern kerb-line of Avon Road.”
