As reported, originally mother and daughter team Sonia and Christine ran ‘The Backroom’ from the rear of what was the hardware shop – now Bitterne Park Stores.

They moved along Manor Farm Road to the former butcher’s shop in August 2017, later adopting the Piper’s Emporium name.

The Triangle shop was previously Moor’s Family Butchers, which closed in 2017 only months after launching. Before that it was Garson’s Quality Meats, which closed a decade ago – although the signage remains in place.

Piper's said on social media it is continuing to trade from Robins Nest Emporium in Millbrook.

Piper's Emporium was approached for comment.
