Upcoming road closures and traffic changes around our area

Portswood Road is expected to remain partially closed at the Lodge Road junction, with Bevois Hill southbound shut, as highways improvement works continue until January 13.

Highfield Lane will be affected by two separate projects: a full overnight closure from Portswood Road to Nile Road on January 7 (8pm to 6am) for carriageway repairs, and temporary traffic signals between Orchards Way and Brookvale Road from January 6 to January 10 for traffic calming measures.

Bitterne Road West will see westbound lane closures from January 6 to January 8 as Southern Water addresses a leak between Chessel Crescent and Athelstan Road.

Wide Lane near the Mountpark industrial estate will have temporary traffic signals in place until February 21 for development works.

Finally, St Denys Road at the Priory Road junction will be subject to temporary traffic signals overnight on January 7 (8pm to 6am) for Scottish and Southern Energy works.
