A song and rhyme activity for young children aiming to boost language development and social skills will be stopping at the end of January.

It’s understood that not enough people are taking advantage of ‘Rhyme Time’ sessions at Cobbett Road Library, which have been taking place on Friday afternoons.
However organisers acknowledge that afternoons aren’t the best time for the target age group, who may well be busy taking their afternoon nap while the singing and puppetry are taking place!
It’s hoped that if the library, which is run by Awaaz FM, offers a morning opening time in future, then it might be possible for sessions to start up again with a higher take-up.
The last Rhyme Time is on Friday, January 24 from 2 – 2.30 pm.
