Caution urged following Bitterne burglaries

Police are urging residents to be extra careful when leaving windows and doors open or unlocked following a number of local burglaries.

There have recently been burglaries in Mcnaghten Road, Somerset Avenue and Cornwall Road, all while residents were inside their properties. There was another burglary in Wynter Road, Bitterne, in which a Dell laptop and £80 in coins were stolen.

Anyone with any information should contact police on 101 or call the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
