Inspectors said that school leaders are effective, supported and challenged by governors; pupils – including SEND pupils – make good progress; and “rigorous and effective teaching engages pupils”.

Their report added that pupils also enjoy high levels of emotional wellbeing, and are “well prepared” for their next steps in education.

“Risks to pupils’ welfare are robustly mitigated,” continues the report summary. “Leaders, governors and staff keep up to date with current safeguarding and health and safety guidance.”

Head teacher Lea Pay said that the school team had been working “tirelessly to improve standards” at the school over the last 18 months.

“There has been a complete overhaul of our curriculum, including highly individualised teaching of core subjects, specialist teaching of foundation subjects, increased computing lessons and the addition of weekly forest and eco-schooling for all children.

“We have also updated and improved our assessment strategies for all subjects, allowing us to identify and address when children need further support or challenge quickly and efficiently,” she said.

She added the report was “a true testament to the hard-work and dedication of the whole team and the school community”.
