Crace, who has written for The Guardian for over a decade, is known for his satirical take on British politics. His latest book, Depraved New World, was published in November 2023 and named a Waterstones Politics Book of the Year.

His show reflects on the turmoil of recent years in UK politics, covering everything from Brexit and Boris Johnson to Partygate and Liz Truss – with insights into what the Queen’s last words to Truss may have been.

Crace was awarded an honorary doctorate by Bath Spa University in January 2024 for his contribution to literary satire.

What the Hell Just Happened? is at The Berry Theatre in Hedge End on Friday, March 28 at 7.30pm.
