TriFest is a free annual event held in Riverside Park by Cobden Bridge.
Organised by volunteers and supported by local businesses – including bitternepark.info - the festival has become a much-loved fixture in the Bitterne Park calendar.
Now the festival has teamed up with local music studio Benana, which offers personalised music lessons for all ages and which also operates a rehearsal studio.
Anthony Nicholls, from the Butcher’s Hook, who helps with design and marketing for the festival, said:
“We have had a few challenges over the years including terrible storms and of course Covid 19, but this year we needed someone to run the music side of things.”

Festival coordinator Paul Jenks added: “You can’t have a festival without a bit of music. And to be in partnership with Benana is great news. As a free festival we couldn’t manage without Benana’s generous support and expertise.”
Benana Music Studio owners Ben and Anna said: “We are thrilled to be linking up with TriFest. It’s a well-established local festival showcasing some of the amazingly talented musicians in the area, which we hope will encourage more people to take up the chance to learn an instrument.”
TriFest will take place from 12–7 pm on Saturday, July 19 in Riverside Park, next to Cobden Bridge. The festival features local bands, craft stalls, traders, community groups, games, a dog show, a beer tent and food stalls - everything needed for a fun afternoon in the park!
