Lane closures and diversions due to a gas leak have been causing drive-time misery for commuters using Bitterne Road West.

The leak is at the junction with Athelstan Road.
It’s not yet known how long emergency repairs will take.
It’s understood that hand digging is necessary due to extensive utilities located under the road.
