Protesters chant against Woodmill sale on Civic steps

gavin millar leads the chants woodmill protest2 20250715 154337Gavin Millar, chair of the Friends of the Itchen Estuary, led the chants on the Civic Centre steps on Tuesday afternoon (July 15) ahead of a council cabinet meeting likely to rubber stamp a sale of part of the Woodmill site to Southern Water. Protesters say principal concerns are about "secrecy" and "lack of public consultation" regarding the future of what is said to be "the most ecologically valuable site in Southampton". More background here.
