Signage in the recently closed Darn It and Stitch premises at The Triangle confirms that a new hospitality business is waiting in the wings.

As reported by this website at the time, the haberdashery closed its doors in June after seven years, with early indications pointing to another hospitality business taking its place.

Since then, the windows have been whitewashed to conceal possible refurbishment work.

Now a new window sign, just visible through the whitewash, confirms: “Comptons Cocktail Bar Coming Soon”.

No licensing or change of use application appears to be in progress at this stage for that address on the council’s licensing portal.
