The Butcher’s Hook micro pub at the Triangle has reported it has been hit with a break-in , and is consequently only able to accept card payments until next week.

The Hook announced the temporary arrangements on its Instagram account, and thanked those who had rallied round to help secure the premises.
It seems the incident came as key staff were on holiday.
The pub posted: “Thankfully it was not too bad but due to the fact I am away we will be operating as a card only bar until I am back from holiday next week.
“We are really sorry for any inconvenience and cash payments will be returning soon... “
The Hook was contacted for further comment.
