Update 2: The Osborne Road sewer repairs and temporary lights are back, for the... is it third time in recent months? The junction to Belmont Road has also been closed so work can proceed with a diversion in place.

We last reported similar work in March, which at the time involved temporary three-way lights. And traffic lights reappeared at the same spot briefly on July 24. Southern Water has apologised "that this has been necessary".
Update 10/9/25: It's understood as of today that the work is expected to take a further five to six weeks to repair.
