Live music is set to return to one of Southampton’s most intimate venues this October as the Chooganooga Sessions continue at Bitterne Station.
The fourth event in the series takes place on Tuesday 14 October, from 7 to 9.30pm, in the station’s old ticket office, now a renovated community space run by Friends of Bitterne Station. Doors open from 6.30pm.
The evening will feature three acts: Mahesh Sharma, whose classical Indian violin promises mesmerising and meditative sounds; Tim & Ondine, a mandolin duo offering tuneful delights; and Fragile Lucy, delivering songs ranging from hilarious to poignant with exceptional ukulele skills.
Tickets are £8.50 via Eventbrite, and the small venue means the event is expected to sell out fast.
The sessions are part of an ongoing effort to breathe new life into the disused station building on Macnaghten Road, providing a home for community activity and intimate live performances.
