Ground Work Solent and Active Nation are working in partnership on a new environmental project called 'Make a Difference' (MAD).
Organisers say the project involves and supports volunteers working on a selection of environmental projects in the beautiful grounds of Woodmill Outdoor Activities Centre.
You're invited to come and join in on Saturday morning to see what projects are already up and running and what plans are in the pipeline for the future. You'll have the opportunity to meet the volunteers who are working on the project and find out about volunteering yourself.
There will also be the opportunity to have a go at some of the free environmental activities on offer:
- Walk around the Woodmill 17 acre grounds and experience the hidden gem that hides behind the gates
- Discover the wonders of autumn with a children's leaf hunt
- Explore the secrets of the deep with pond dipping for children
- Go green with some flower planting
- Get your hands dirty and experience Balsam removal
The day is open to all ages, with families especially invited to come and check out what's going on with the new project!
