Following an inspection in September 2025, the school was given the grade in the five categories of quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management and sixth-form provision.
“Central to this success are the school’s unrelenting, high expectations,” said inspectors.
“The school achieves a skilful balance between providing pupils with highly personalised support, alongside allowing them to develop their independence and confidence. Pupils achieve well academically and demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to their learning.
Yarrow Heights was also given an overall rating of Outstanding at its last full inspection in November 2022.
The school is owned by Cavendish Education Ltd which runs “a family of independent schools and college offering support for neurodivergent students with a range of needs”.
