The Tree Equity Score measures how well tree canopy meets the needs of local populations, taking into account factors such as population density, age, income, and pollution.

A score of 100 indicates that the area’s tree cover reaches its target relative to these factors.

Other parts of Bitterne Park also score well, with a chunk including much of Riverside Park and the schools only losing out because so much of it is playing fields. Including Deep Dene and surrounding streets helped the Midanbury Lane sector reach the target, providing local residents with a greener, healthier urban environment.
