A 14-year-old boy was walking along the road when a man appeared and attempted to speak with him, it was reported.
“The man then put his hand down his trousers and appeared to be inappropriately touching himself,” according to police.
It was reported around 4.30pm on Thursday, October 23.
The man is described as white, aged between 20-30 years-old, of medium build and approximately 5 ft 10 tall, with black hair and no facial hair. At the time of the incident, he was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a black top.
A runner witnessed the incident and stopped to ask the boy if he was okay, and officers are now urging them to come forward with any information they may have.
Said a spokesperson: “We would also like to hear from anyone else who may have been in the area at the time of the incident and recalls seeing a man matching the above description. Even if you didn’t see the man, do you recognise the description? Do you have any footage, including mobile phone or CCTV, which may assist us?”
