The site at 21-35 St Denys Road is now being marketed by realest with an informal pre-application submitted to the council for the “potential development of 17 houses”, according to the agent’s site.
A 2021 planning application to demolish the car showroom and erect two blocks comprising 48 apartments was refused, as was an application a year later to build two blocks with 35 apartments.

An outline bid in 2024 seeking approval for access, appearance, layout and scale to construct student blocks was later withdrawn.
As reported, current site occupant cruise parking firm Azure had its challenge to restrictions imposed by the council on its operation rejected by the planning inspectorate in December 2025. This means the company can only operate as a park and ride using shuttle buses, rather than having vehicles collected by staff at cruise terminals.
The 1,154 square metre site was previously used for Hyundai car sales and a workshop.
The site was previously known as Berkeley Garage.
