It will be hosted by local community food-growing project Bitterne Park Growing Places, once again teaming up with Southampton Seed Swap.

As well as a wide selection of seeds available to swap or buy by donation, plants will also be available from Yvonne’s Plants.

There will also be gardening advice, hot drinks, cakes and snacks from The Art House Community Pantry, and a stall from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife.

Southampton Seed Swap has been running annually, except in 2021, since 2006 and was inspired by Brighton Seed Sunday.

Bitterne Park Growing Places, run by Transition Southampton, encourages local people to grow and share food. The project brings the community together to swap seeds and plants, exchange growing tips, and share any surplus produce.

The event is free to attend but donations are welcome to cover costs. It takes place at Bitterne Station, Macnaghten Road, SO18 1GG from 11am – 2pm.
