The free event will take place from 2pm on Saturday, May 2, in the parkland north of Woodmill car park, a former pitch and putt course now undergoing gradual rewilding.
Organisers say the survey will help build a clearer picture of what species are present before a longer-term management plan is developed.

The BioBlitz is part of a wider biodiversity survey funded by a grant awarded to the Friends of Riverside Park.
Members of the public are invited to help spot and record plants, insects, birds and other wildlife, with support on hand from a professional ecologist and park rangers.
No experience is needed, and organisers say the event is open to all ages.
