‘Urban Wild’ will take place from 12pm on Sunday, May 24.
Co-organiser Colin MacQueen, speaking at last year’s event, said the vision is “not really about the beautiful parks we have. It’s actually about local neighbourhoods, green areas - how to connect those; create passageways for habitat, people, creatures, the whole thing. Make the city much more liveable and breathable.”
This year’s theme, “Reimagining Southampton”, invites visitors to consider ideas for the city’s future in which the health of nature and people are prioritised.
The event on the Common will feature stalls, workshops, performances, talks and activities for all ages.
