What promises to be a colourful jaunt will weave along the river from Mansbridge to Cobden Bridge from 11am.
Crafting workshops ahead of the event will see participants make streamers and other materials, at St Denys Church on May 27 at 10.30pm, “collaborating to make the River Itchen walk as colourful as it can be”. Booking for the session is via Eventbrite.
Kirsteen Anderssen, one of the founders of SRR, previously explained: “We are essentially writing a charter for Southampton City Council around river rights ... as part of the nationwide push to increase the rights of rivers.”
You can listen to Kirsteen on digest+ speaking in March at the St Denys Toes in the Water Day about SRR and its mission to create a charter for the city council around river rights as part of a nationwide push.
