Southampton City Council (SCC) has announced housing provider Sovereign Network Group (SNG) is to deliver family affordable homes at Townhill Park.

SNG has been chosen as the registered provider to build homes on Plot 10 at Copse Road and Longmead Road, which the council says will complement the site previously awarded at nearby Rowlands Walk.
In a statement, SCC said SNG was previously named the registered provider for both Plot 2 (which has a boundary of Meggeson Avenue, Townhill Way, Paulet Close and Cutbush Lane) and Plot 9 (Rowlands Walk) under the Affordable Housing Framework (AHF).
Another regional housing provider, Abri is working on proposals for new homes across Plots 5 and 6.
This new agreement with SNG means that new homes are scheduled to be built across five plots at Townhill Park to help meet the need for new housing in the city, said the council.
