A documentary charting Southampton Ukulele Jam’s record-breaking 30-hour “uke-a-thon” will receive a charity premiere screening at Harbour Lights Picturehouse.

“SUJ Vs The Uke-A-Thon: A Documentary” will be shown on Monday, June 29 at the Ocean Village cinema as part of celebrations marking the group’s 18th birthday year. The event will also include a live performance by Southampton Ukulele Jam.
The film, created by filmmaker Imogen Dunlop, documents the group’s UK record attempt and includes interviews and behind-the-scenes footage of the event, which took place at God’s House Tower.
The screening is a charity event, with all proceeds to be shared between No Limits, Society of St James, Yellow Door and Mountbatten Hampshire. Southampton Ukulele Jam said the evening will contribute towards its aim of raising £18,000 during its 18th year.
