Southampton City Council said the next phase includes resurfacing the road and footways, repainting road markings and replacing expansion joints, following work over the past nine months to improve drainage and reconstruct the footways.
Separately, the council said work on a proposed safety fencing project is continuing. A revised design is due to be trialled shortly, with installation expected to begin in late 2026 if approved.
