The sale of a local station car park is moving ahead with a for sale board now in place.

As reported, the 24-space St Denys Station Osborne Road South car park has been earmarked for disposal by Southampton City Council, which has previously cited low usage together with fly-tipping and anti-social behaviour.

The 0.212-acre site could ultimately be redeveloped, subject to any future planning permission, and has been identified by the council as having "strong residential-led redevelopment potential".
The proposals previously attracted criticism from opposition councillors, who argued the loss of the car park could undermine any future improvements to rail services at nearby St Denys station.
The freehold is advertised on Right Move for £300,000 through Savills.
