Southampton’s residents are being offered the chance to buy bargain price fruit trees to help create a city-wide ‘virtual orchard’.

As well as a selection of six apple varieties for only £7.50 each, plum and pear trees at £8.50 each are also available. You can buy a tree for your own garden or buy a tree to be 'adopted' by a local school or community centre.

The not-for-profit project is being run by the volunteer-led group Transition Southampton. For more details and to download an order form, visit their website.
