Jen Schwab, pictured, who took over as chair over the summer, said some activity has drifted away from the centre, despite its large indoor and outdoor spaces.
Speaking to bitternepark.info for a forthcoming audio on our digest+ channel, she said she wants people to feel that the centre is their space, and is planning a contest to gather suggestions for its best use.
Describing the outdoor space as currently fairly “vanilla”, Jen said there are “so many possibilities” - including community art and gardening - and that “this really is a blank canvas”.
The community centre is holding its next public meeting on November 10 at 7pm, which is open to all to come along and find out more.
