Detectives from Hampshire’s Major Investigation Team have praised members of the public for their support in assisting them with their enquiries into the shooting of a 27-year-old Southampton man in Vanguard Road, Townhill Park on Sunday, February 19.

A number of people have provided valuable information to detectives that has so far led to the arrests of seven individuals. Local residents in the area of Vanguard Road have also been praised by police for their patience and understanding while officers worked within a crime scene cordon to secure evidence linked to the shooting.
Various arrests have already been made, and police say they’ll be “relentless in their pursuit to take the weapon off the streets.”
