“The people in Southampton have been extremely supportive of Flybe so we’re pleased we can give something back to the community,” said Simon Lilley, Flybe’s director of marketing, as the low-cost airline announced a new three-year deal to become the main Southampton Football Club sponsor.
Flybe, which reported year-end profits for 2005 of Ł6.6m, also says that it will also be making
“significant investment in the local community” through initiatives
such as schools’ football tournaments.
