Concern for woman's safety following Midanbury incident

Police are seeking information about a suspicious incident which occurred on Mousehole Lane at around 11.50pm on Saturday, August 4.

A woman was heard to shout and cry loudly and appeared in a distressed state. She then got into a blue saloon vehicle with a man and left the area of Mousehole Lane, Midanbury.

“We are making enquiries to trace the woman involved in order to establish that she is safe and well. We would appeal for her or the man to contact us so that we can assess the nature of what occurred

“It is possible this was nothing more than an argument between a couple that has raised concerns of local residents or it could be something more so we need to find out exactly what happened," said Detective Constable Philip Attwood.

Police ask anyone who knows about the incident or who saw anything suspicious around this time to contact DC 3652 Attwood on 101
