Tudors come to streets of Southampton

Bugle Street, St Michael’s Square and the surrounding area of Southampton`s ‘Old Town’ will be transformed for a ‘Michaelmas Fair’ this weekend (Sept 29/30) – a Tudor festival with workshops, living fair, historical re-enactments, storytelling, townsfolk and walks.

Thre area will be packed full of Tudor life, giving a glimpse into what the town was like at the time. Throughout the weekend there will be a variety of activities including music workshops in singing and lute, Tudor fun and games, a Tudor concert and tour and the chance to explore St. Michael`s Church.

The Michaelmas Fair festivities start at 11am on Saturday, September 29. The full timetable is available from http://www.tudorrevels.co.uk/
