Local residents joined with environmental groups from across
Hampshire in Eastleigh on June 10 to protest against BAA's expansion plans for Southampton Airport, and to mark the launch of campaigning group AXE. BAA's masterplan forecasts an increase from the current 1.5m passengers a year to 3m by 2015, and then to 6m by 2030. The AXE website is also now live.
