Update 10/12/12 - according to press reports, Sasha is now back home.
Police in Bitterne are appealing for sightings of Sasha the husky, after she was taken from the garden of a house in Byron Road on Saturday (December 1) – and then offered for sale back to her owner.
Police say at about midday on Sunday, December 2, the owner received a phone call from an unidentified man with a withheld phone number. He said he had bought the husky for £250 and offered to sell the animal back to its owner for the same amount.
Police want to hear from anyone who saw the husky in the area of Byron Road, SO19 on Saturday, or who knows someone who has recently acquired a husky.
Sasha is two years’ old, thin, with a grey white and brown coat and in season. She has a very noticeable white mark on her right eye. She has a red and white fabric collar and a gold barrel tag containing the owner’s name and contact details.
Anyone who has information about the missing Husky is asked to contact PC Sarah Brazier at Bitterne on 101.
