Southampton City Council will be undertaking an improvement scheme at Witts Hill Shopping Parade, beginning on Monday July 10 and lasting for around 8 weeks.
The scheme is funded by the council's Ł41 million investment to
improve the streets, roads and highways in Southampton over the next
three years. This is part of the 'street scene strategy', for a smarter,
safer, cleaner city.
Improvements taking place include:
. renewal of footways and kerbs
. renewal of shop forecourts
. relocation of street furniture
. provision of dropped kerbs and tactile paving
. renewal of service road
