Do you work with people who are at risk of becoming ill because they can’t afford to heat their homes properly? The Environment Centre is running free ‘Energy Best Deal’ and ‘Fuel Poverty Information’ sessions, aimed at anyone who works with vulnerable households – frontline staff, volunteers and carers.
People who can’t afford to heat their home are at greater risk of suffering ill health as a result of cold and damp conditions. Our Fuel Poverty training will help you to understand the causes and effects of fuel poverty and enable you to suggest easy ways to save money and advise people on where they can get help. The Energy Best Deal sessions will enable you to advise on understanding fuel bills, finding the best option for changing supplier.

The Environment Centre is a local charity running these sessions in partnership with Southampton City Council as part of the STOP the Cold project, with funding from the Department of Health.
