Bitterne Park author Joseph Leo Coghe is running a six-week workshop based on his first book ‘Chasing Rainbows of Eden’, aimed at tackling trauma and stress.
“There seem to be ever-increasing pressures in today’s society, and many people suffer needlessly from the ravages of stress-related problems,” says Joseph, who’s used his own experience of tackling stress to develop the course.

Workshops will help small groups of adults manage and control the causes of their stress, using Joseph’s ‘layering’ meditation technique known as ‘Moving the Barriers’. “The overall aim of the workshop is to help heal the inner-self, and motivate and regenerate mental abilities, so that participants can benefit and move forward,” he explains.
He says participants can walk away from the course with a greater understanding of where their traumas or stresses originate and with the tools to manage and control stress in the future. To benefit, participants must be open-minded, and willing to take part in the interactive tasks and meditations during each session.
Each member of the group completing the course is given a free copy of the book to reinforce their practice of the techniques, and a CD of all the meditations within the book is also available to purchase.
Joseph says that the course would not be suitable for those diagnosed with clinical depression or possibly those undergoing long-term treatment; he’s happy to discuss individual cases to assess suitability.
There are six sessions which take place on Thursday evenings between 7pm and 9pm at The Naturopathic Centre for Children, Hursley, near Winchester, from September onwards. The fee is Ł90. Places are subject to availability, so if you or someone you know would benefit please contact Joseph direct on 023 8067 9173, or by This email address is being protected from spambots.
