St Denys footpath

footpath closedA St Denys resident has been assured by a Network Rail that the public right of way between Horseshoe Bridge and Northam will be left in a "fit and tidy condition" when the footpath re-opens following work to re-enforce the railway.

The resident, who did not wish to be named, said: "What was a bit bleak, but ultimately pretty shore now looks like an industrial wasteland."

Network Rail Community Relations Advisor Tom Menzies said: "I am currently liaising with the project team and contractors in charge of the work to ensure the site is left in a fit and tidy condition, in keeping with our commitment to being a considerate and responsive neighbour."

The footpath is due to re-open in August.
